Guaranteed Income for Life
A 70-year-old DSI client was concerned about not having enough income to last his entire life. He had $750,000 in his 401k and was now retired. We helped him to roll that money into a guaranteed lifetime income annuity that will pay him $50,000 per year for the rest of his life, no matter how long he lives. When he passes away, his wife will get the balance of the unused portion of the money. He no longer has to worry about the stock market fluctuations or outliving his income and he can now rest easy.
General Liability for a Solar Contractor
A solar contractor needed general liability insurance and commercial auto insurance for his business. DSI secured $1,000,000 worth of liability coverage for this client and sent a certificate of insurance out on a project on which he was the low bidder. He completed the project and made enough profit to pay for his insurance on just that one job!
Non-Owned Auto and EPLI Coverage
A doctor’s office called us requesting a second opinion on their insurance. After reviewing their insurance policy, we found two major gaps in coverage that the client had not been aware of. The first gap in coverage was that they were not covered for non-owned auto. In short, non-owned auto insurance covers the business when an employee is in their personal car on a business trip. This doctors office had employees running errands in their personal cars almost EVERY day. The second gap in their insurance was not having coverage for wrongful termination, sexual discrimination or racial discrimination, which is covered by Employers Professional Liability Insurance. All businesses that have employees of any sort should have Employers Professional Liability Insurance coverage, and now that client does.
